Finding Light in the Dark: My Journey to The Rooted Cup
There was a time not long ago when I felt completely drained. My job was taking so much from me that by the time the day ended, I had nothing left for myself. I would wake up and pour all my energy into work, and by the time I got home I had no motivation to do the things that actually brought me joy. It was like life was slipping away in a loop of exhaustion and obligation.
2024 was particularly hard. It broke me in ways I never expected. I felt defeated, shattered even. I had given so much of myself to something that left me empty, and I realized I was losing sight of the things that once made me feel alive. I knew I couldn’t keep going like that. Something had to change.
It wasn’t an easy decision, but I knew I had to step away for my mental health, my well-being, and my happiness. And when I finally made that choice, I felt something I hadn’t felt in a long time, relief. The possibility of something better.
That’s when The Rooted Cup was born.
I wanted to create something meaningful, something that aligned with the life I wanted to live. A space where people could gather, connect and feel good without the need for alcohol. A place where I could pour my energy into something that truly makes a difference, not just for me, but for others as well.
If you’re feeling stuck like I was, I want you to know that change is possible. You don’t have to stay in a situation that drains you. You don’t have to keep sacrificing your happiness for something that doesn’t serve you. It’s okay to choose yourself, it’s okay to walk away, and it more than okay to chase something that sets your soul on fire.
There is a way forward, even if you can’t see it yet. Trust that your next chapter is waiting for you and it might just be more beautiful than you ever imagined.
